Tanglang La is claimed to be second highest motorable pass on Manali-Leh highway in the Zanskar Range, the glorious pride of Ladakh.Tanglang-La is located at height of 17,582ft (5,359m) above sea level, in the Indian union territory of Ladakh. It is located on Manali- Leh Highway. Sarchu and Upsi are two settlements nearby this pass. The supply of oxygen is quite less at higher altitude, and people might experience AMS-Acute mountain sickness and high altitude sickness on highest point of this pass. The temperature can go down up to -35 degree Celsius when it snow.

The scenery, wide angle landscape is beyond description that attracts many nature lovers. It is a resting place for nomadic Changpa herdsmen who can with their flocks of sheep and goats, migrating in search of pasture.
