Shyok means the river of death. This is a tribute of Indus river that flows through northern Ladakh in India and Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan.
Shyok river is situated in Ladakh This river is mainly found in the cold. The Shyok River is a river flowing through the areas of Ladakh and the Northern areas of Pakistan. Shyok river originates from the Rimo glacier which is one of the tongues of Siachen Glacier and becomes very wide after that joins to the Pangong range which takes a northeast turn and flows parallel to its previous path.
